Pachelbel House, in which the museum is located, has been forever inscribed in European history since 25 February 1634 as the place where the commander-in-chief of the Imperial Army, Generalissimo Albrecht von Wallenstein, was assassinated.

One of the main symbols of Cheb architecture - half-timbered buildings that were built already from the 13th century instead of grocer and butcher stalls depending on the needs of Cheb merchants. The entire complex was finished in the fifteenth century.
