In 1294, King Wenceslas II granted the Dominicans the right to establish a monastery in Cheb. It was constructed along with the church in the years 1294 – 1296.
The cloister was built in the second half of the thirteenth century in direct proximity to the Franciscan Monastery, and originally, the Poor Clares did not have their own church. After 1700, the convent, which was rather decrepit, was razed and a new one was built by Christoph Dientzenhofer.
