Cheb Museum

Pachelbel House, in which the museum is located, has been forever inscribed in European history since 25 February 1634 as the place where the commander-in-chief of the Imperial Army, Generalissimo Albrecht von Wallenstein, was assassinated.

Cheb Museum, which is located on Krále Jiřího z Poděbrad Square, offers several exhibits and tour circuits to visitors. These are dedicated to the town’s history from the Middle Ages to the present, to Albrecht von Wallenstein, and to monuments of folk culture. The museum was first made publicly accessible on 15 May 1874, and since then, it has been expanded into its current collections, including a lapidarium, Milíkov Farmstead, or the Wallenstein Picture Gallery.
