Stands on the southern edge of Františkovy Lázně, on the site known as Na Vyhlídce. It looks like a fairy-tale castle rather than a lookout tower. Its name is derived from the local curative acidulous waters, so christened in 1906. The town councillors and the members of the beautifying society were saddened by the fact that the spa has no historical monument, and so they decided to construct fake ruins at the edge of one of the parks. The building was to also serve as a lookout tower.
