The history of Gallery 4 dates to 1985, when it was established as a part of the District Cultural Centre. Today, it is the oldest permanent exhibit of photographs in the Czech Republic. Here, you will see, for instance, period photographs, as well as the first shots of amateur photographers, an example of wooden cameras, or Art Nouveau photograph albums and a collection of Czech and international photographs from the 1950s to the present.
The entire gallery and its collection serve not only as an exhibition space, but also for studying and documentation. Schools and individuals alike can take advantage of the guided tours.
