A unique museum for the entire family that will transport you back in time to socialist Czechoslovakia The authentic flats and offices will make you exclaim: \u201cWe had that at home, too!\u201d
\nIn this exhibit on post-war design, which is, by the way, the only one of its kind in our country, you will see the iconic products with which Czech designers were able to achieve international renown, despite the problems of domestic industry: the accordion animals of Libu\u0161e Niklov\u00e1 or the irons and hairdryers of Stanislav Lachman. In the section dedicated to transport, you will see not only a number of models, but also several typical means of transport of the era: The \u0160koda 1000 MB, the Velorex, the \u010c\u017d 502 scooter nicknamed \u201cpig\u201d, or the JAWA 250. In the Architecture Division, you will learn about the history of the so-called OKAL prefab houses and the \u201c\u0160umper\u00e1k\u201d single-family detached houses. As for music, you will witness the Bratislava Lyre and the Supraphon Golden Album competitions (both awarded to Karel Zich), or the first Czech pop LP (Karel Gott Sings, 1965). You can purchase an original \u201cretro gift\u201d in the museum shop, which offers products that continue to be manufactured today in the same timeless design and quality.<\/p>\n
